Saddle Up

John Wayne Enterprises and the John Wayne family have approved designs for a three-coin set honoring the American icon. Each one-ounce, .999-fine silver piece in the 2024 Classic American Westerns series features a quote and a depiction of John Wayne (1907-79), designed by Chris Costello. 

The first coin displays a close-up portrait of “The Duke,” while the second shows him riding a horse with the sun high in the sky in the background. The third illustrates a closer-up view of the famous actor again on a horse, set against another desert landscape.
