Topography—Bryce Canyon

The popular “Topography” series takes collectors on a journey to some of the most fascinating natural wonders on Earth. This issue is dedicated to the famous Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. This landscape world-renowned for its unique red rock formations and spectacular canyons.

Bryce Canyon was formed over millions of years by wind, water, and erosion. Particularly distinctive are the so-called “hoodoos,” bizarre, tower-like rock pillars that rise from the landscape like natural sculptures.

The coin captures this impressive topography in an extraordinary way. The highly detailed, deep-relief design creates an almost three-dimensional impression of the rugged canyon landscape. Coloring and shading lend the motif additional depth and bring the natural structures to life.

Forging of Independence—Crossing the Delaware

The “Forging of Independence—Crossing the Delaware” issue commemorates one of the most significant moments in American history. General George Washington’s famous crossing of the Delaware River in 1776 is regarded as a turning point in the Revolutionary War. This moment symbolizes courage, determination, and the fight for freedom.

The design captures this dramatic scene in impressive relief with extraordinary detail. The artistic partial gilding of the flowing flag and garment creates striking visual highlights and gives the coin a powerful and emotional appearance. Finely detailed map elements and historical battle scenes further enhance the design. The surrounding inscription THESE ARE THE TIMES THAT TRY MEN’S SOULS references one of the most famous quotes of the American Revolution. Its inclusion strengthens the emotional impact of the issue.

Enemies in History 2026—Sitting Bull vs. General Custer

The “Enemies in History” series highlights legendary historical rivals whose conflicts shaped the course of history. This issue is dedicated to General George Armstrong Custer and the Lakota chief Sitting Bull.

Their names are forever linked to the famous Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876—one of the most well-known conflicts between the native peoples of North America and the United States Army.

While Custer was regarded as an ambitious military leader, Sitting Bull became a symbol of resistance, freedom, and the fight to preserve his people’s culture and way of life.

The reverse of the coin features the two historical opponents in impressive high relief. They are portrayed back-to-back and separated by an arrow as a symbol of the inevitable clash between two worlds. The powerful composition captures the tension and emotional intensity of this important chapter in American history. The 7 notches along the rim symbolize the 7th Cavalry Regiment in which Custer served.

The obverse showcases the legendary scene The Duel, Tomahawk and Sabre by Charles Schreyvogel in extraordinary high relief. The dynamic battle scene with galloping horses, raised weapons, and dramatic movement conveys the raw intensity and chaos of the historic conflicts of the American Wild West.
