Donald Trump $1 Coin Release Date Announced

Rolls and bags of the President Donald Trump $1 coin will be available for purchase on September 2. The U.S. Mint has set prices at $61 for a 25-coin roll and $154.50 for a 100-coin bag. A Federal Register notice also lists a 2026 Trump 24-karat 1-ounce gold proof coin, but the mint has not yet announced a price or release date.

The President Donald Trump $1 coins were struck at the Philadelphia Mint and do not include edge lettering, a departure from the 2026 Native American and American Innovation dollars. The Trump $1 coin also has higher mintages than the other 2026 dollar releases, with limits of 150,000 rolls and 50,000 bags. For reference, the Minnesota Innovation dollar has limits of 8,400 Philadelphia rolls, 7,350 Denver rolls, 3,150 Philadelphia bags, and 2,950 Denver bags.
