Visitors to the Higgins Museum of National Bank Notes during the summer months can see 31 Revolutionary War-era paper currency issues. This exhibition is on loan from the collection of a museum board member. It includes colonial pieces, early statehood examples, and notes authorized by the Continental Congress. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Secondly, the museum will host a seminar on August 13. The speakers, including Joe Boling, George Cuhaj, Mark Drengson, Cody Regennitter, and Steve Sweeney, will explore topics ranging from counterfeits to censuses. The cost to attend the event is $100 ($90 for members of the Central States Numismatic Society, the Professional Currency Dealers Association, or the Society of Paper Money Collectors). The fee includes a light continental breakfast, light lunch, and attendance to the talks, plus a welcome reception on the afternoon of August 12. Register by phone (715-332-5859) or email ([email protected]) before August 5.
