The U.S. Mint has unveiled the design of the latest release in its Comic Art Coin and Medal Program. The new issue depicts Robin, Batman’s sidekick. Supergirl and Green Lantern will join Robin in the 2026 lineup. Last year’s releases feature Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Next year, The Flash, Batgirl, and Aquaman will have their moments.

The Robin release is available in multiple versions: a half-ounce 24 karat gold $50 coin struck at the West Point Mint, as well as two silver medals (2.5-ounce and 1-ounce versions) struck at the Philadelphia Mint.

The Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) and the Commission of Fine Arts (CFA) had little disagreement over the obverse, which depicts Robin swinging on a rope with LIBERTY above. For the reverse, the two groups were split, and the CFA’s favored design eventually prevailed. The resulting motif features Dick Grayson (Robin’s true identity) swinging on aerial straps in a circus performance. The legend ROBIN FEARLESS AND LOYAL encircles the design on the silver medals. On the gold $50, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the fineness appear along the rim.

The silver examples are priced at $400 for the 2.5-ounce version and $200 for the 1-ounce version. The U.S. Mint has not yet announced mintage limits and the price for the gold $50. U.S. Mint subscriptions for the 2026 series are open, and the Robin examples will be available for purchase in the fall.
