Pooh & Friends

In a continuation of its Winnie the Pooh coin series depicting the iconic bear and his friends, the Royal Mint has produced four medals celebrating the 100th anniversary of the children’s book by A.A. Milne.

Designed by the Walt Disney Company, the medals share a common obverse with the legend WINNIE THE POOH in the center and the Disney logo above. The reverses feature characters from the books in full color. One shows Tigger bouncing on his tail, and another depicts Eeyore gazing thoughtfully at the sky. The other two issues highlight Pooh and Piglet, with each holding a sunflower in one design, and both using an umbrella as a boat in the other.

The four square medals are available as a set on the Royal Mint’s website.
