The Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG) has named veteran rare-coin dealer John Brush as its president for the 2026-28 term. Brush, president and owner of DLRC in Virginia Beach, Virginia, joined the organization in 2005 and has served as PNG vice president for the past two years. Founded in 1955, PNG is a nonprofit organization representing more than 350 rare-coin and paper money dealers in the United States and seven other countries.

A True Honor

PNG Executive Director John Feigenbaum praised Brush’s leadership and longstanding experience in the profession. Brush says his election was “truly an honor” and that he looks forward to continuing the organization’s efforts to expand its influence and relevance and to “widen its reach into a growing numismatic marketplace.” He emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and confidence within the coin industry while also attracting younger collectors and dealers.

Brush also highlighted major changes in the coin market, noting that high-end coins have become increasingly harder to find as collectors hold onto premium pieces. At the same time, he said growing interest from new collectors and online live-selling platforms has fueled demand for mid-range and lower-priced coins, helping to rejuvenate the hobby.

In addition to his new role as PNG president, Brush is an ANA governor and a former chairman of the National Coin & Bullion Association.
