Happy 250th Birthday, America!

The U.S. Mint has released a YouTube video to celebrate America’s milestone anniversary. United States Mint Director Paul Hollis reflects on the U.S. Mint’s 234-year history of producing the circulating coinage that has supported commerce since 1792. He is joined by several former mint directors, who explore how U.S. coins have long reflected our nation’s values through symbols, including Liberty and the heraldic eagle, as well as mottos such as “E Pluribus Unum” and “In God We Trust.” Hollis encourages Americans to collect and share the new 2026 circulating coins, which commemorate the nation’s journey to independence and celebrate its enduring heritage.
