Cluedo Commemorative

The Royal Mint has released a collection to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the mystery board game Cluedo (known as Clue in North America).  

The collection includes brilliant uncirculated, brilliant uncirculated color, silver proof color, and gold proof 50-pence coins. Six game pieces with the heads of Cluedo’s six characters (Professor Plum, Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlett, Mrs. White, and Reverend Green) are featured on the reverse. The characters’ names repeat in the background, and the legend WHO, WHERE AND WITH WHAT? is above. The Cluedo logo appears at the bottom of the design. Martin Jennings’s effigy of King Charles III is on the obverse. 

Additionally, a ¹/₄₀-ounce gold proof coin is available. The reverse design features six board game pieces with the Cluedo board in the background and the game’s logo in the center.

All coins in the collection are available on the Royal Mint’s website. The mint will also release a Cluedo advent calendar, which includes 23 chocolate coins and a brilliant uncirculated color coin.
