The Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG) recognized the ANA’s Publications Department with two major awards at the 2026 NLG Awards Luncheon, held August 27 during the World’s Fair of Money® in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. For the third consecutive year, the ANA’s Reading Room was named Best News or Blog Website in the Website/Digital category. Launched in October 2023, the Reading Room was recognized as the “best interactive blog that communicates information and personal commentaries about the numismatic hobby.”

The ANA’s flagship publication, The Numismatist, also received top honors, winning Best Club or Not-for-Profit Periodical.

In addition to the two Publications Department awards, the ANA Money Museum also received recognition for best Non-Trade Website in the Website/Digital category for The Silk Road(s) virtual exhibit. The numismatic travelogue allows viewers to explore how money, commerce, and ideas connected cultures across the ancient trade route.

“These awards are a reflection of the creativity and dedication of the Publications Department,” says Editor-in-Chief Caleb Noel. “We’re proud to have our work recognized by the NLG, and we appreciate everyone who helps make these publications and digital resources possible.”

The NLG Awards recognize excellence in numismatic writing, publishing, websites, and other forms of communication. The three awards are a testament to the hard work of the ANA staff and their ongoing efforts to provide informative and engaging resources for the numismatic community.
