A Silver Seal

NumisCollect will release the first issue in its Above the Surface series on May 15. The reverse of the 1-ounce .999-fine silver coin depicts a charming, lifelike seal emerging from the water. Struck in ultra-high relief, the piece’s realism is further enhanced by its use of hand-applied enameling to create the blue water surrounding the seal. The obverse bears the Cameroon coat of arms, along with the inscriptions REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN, 2026, and 1000 FRANCS CFA.

All pieces are individually finished with slight variations, making each of the 499 examples unique. The coin is available for preorder on NumisCollect’s website.
