The Vatican Mint has introduced its Jubilee Cross series—a collection of six bimetallic silver and copper 10-euro square coins that will characterize the three years leading up to the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope. (A jubilee is a special holy year in the Catholic Church that typically takes place every 25 years.) The first two coins (one of which is pictured below) will be issued in December, followed by two additional pieces annually with the following themes: Indulgence and Solidarity (2023), Universal Fraternity and Prayer (2024), and Conversion and Beauty of Creation (2025).

Collectors can purchase a three-year subscription. With the first coin pair, they will receive a special Latin-cross-shaped case that is designed to hold the entire collection. The six-coin set and holder can be purchased for €396 (approximately U.S. $420).
