Whitman’s Winter Coin Expo will be held November 6-8 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Open to the public for free, the show attracts collectors, dealers, and enthusiasts from across the country. Attendees can peruse a wide selection of coins, paper money, and other enticing items. “The Whitman Expos Winter Coin Expo is more than just a marketplace—it’s a celebration of numismatics and the community that surrounds it,” says Lori Kraft, general manager of Whitman Expos. “Whether you are a lifelong collector, an investor, or a family just starting to explore the hobby, there’s something here for everyone.”

Show Highlights

Stack’s Bowers Galleries will display lots from its upcoming Showcase Auction, the official auction of Whitman Expos, as well as highlights from future sales. Displays include the newly discovered 16th 1804 dollar, two of the largest U.S. gold coins ever made, historic paper money and rare colonial coins from Maryland, and an example of the first American silver dollar, worth more than $3 million.

On November 7, Dr. Fred Bart and Bianca Bart, authors of United States Paper Money Errors, 5th Edition, will host a book signing. Their new reference, now in full color, includes more than 550 photos, detailed grading and pricing information, rarity guides, and more.

At the U.S. Mint’s booth, visitors can browse several special releases, including the 2025 limited edition silver proof set (available starting November 6), the Comic Art Superman silver medal, the U.S. Marine Corps 250th anniversary commemorative coins, and the U.S. Navy 250th anniversary silver American Eagle.

Young collectors have some fun events waiting just for them, including a coin grab, coin-themed art activities, goodie bags, and an interactive workshop for Scouts.
