Vote for New Swiss Notes

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) is preparing to launch its 10th bank note series and has invited the public to help select the designs via an online survey.  The theme of the new series is “Switzerland and its altitudes.” According to the bank, “It pays homage to the country’s unique topography, from the Jura and the Central Plateau to the Alps, and depicts Switzerland from its deepest valleys to its highest peaks. The new series aims to reflect the diversity of life at the various altitudes.”

Survey participants can view the 12 bold, innovative designs and vote for their favorites. Available until September 7, the survey will take about 8 minutes to complete. The SNB will choose the final motif from among the top six best-rated designs and will announce the winner at the beginning of 2026. The new notes will enter circulation in the early 2030s.
