Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ Coins in Motion (CIM) technology is now available to the public for single rarities, complete collections, and dealer inventories. This patented, state-of-the-art service creates 4K, high-definition video animations of coins, allowing viewers to examine coin details not apparent in static photos. Stack’s Bowers states that CIM technology provides dealers with a secure way to display, study, and organize their holdings and gives buyers confidence in the quality of the coin they are purchasing. “Coins in Motion is extremely popular with Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ consignors and buyers alike,” says Stack’s Bowers Executive Vice President Christine Karstedt. “It provides beautifully detailed images for hobbyists whose focus is not only on rarity but on the visual characteristics of the coin.”

CIM is available for coins certified by Professional Coin Grading Service, Numismatic Guaranty Company, and Certified Acceptance Corporation Grading. Clients can choose between three types of video files: 4K MP4 (a high-resolution video to capture every detail of your coin), CIM Card (a special animation with additional information about your coin), and 1080p HD MP4 (standard high-definition video for everyday viewing).
