2024 Silver American Eagles Now Available
The 2024 silver American Eagle proof coins are now available to order through the U.S. Mint. The specimens will be struck at the San Francisco facility and cost $95. For the first 24 hours of sale, orders are limited to 25 coins per household.
These proofs are collector versions of the official U.S. Mint silver American Eagle bullion specimens. The mint began producing silver American Eagles in 1986. In 2021, to mark the 35th anniversary of the program, the coining facility updated the obverse design and redesigned the reverse. Adolph A. Weinman’s 1986 depiction of Liberty appears on the obverse, and Mint Artistic Infusion Program Designer Emily Damstra crafted the reverse, which illustrates an eagle clutching an oak branch. Retired Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso sculpted the piece.
Customers can also acquire the proof American Eagle through the U.S. Mint’s Product Subscription Program. Similar to a magazine subscription service, this feature allows customers to receive automatic shipments of products in a series. To purchase, visit the U.S. Mint’s website or one of the Mint’s sales centers in Philadelphia, Denver, or Washington, D.C.
