In honor of the upcoming 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding in 2026, the U.S. Mint will reissue a series of historic coins. This one-year “Best of the Mint” collection will reflect America’s rich numismatic history.
The coins chosen to represent the best issues will be selected by expert recommendation and public input. The U.S. Mint is asking the public to complete a short survey to rank a list of 21 historic coin designs. Participation is voluntary, and the online survey should take about six minutes to complete. Feedback from the survey will be presented to the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) and the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts (CFA). With recommendations from those committees, the Secretary of the Treasury will select the final designs for this program.
All Americans are invited to participate in the survey at https://catalog.usmint.gov/semiq and voting is open until December 3.
