The U.S. Mint has officially ended its mutilated coin exchange program. The U.S. Mint’s Mutilated Coin Redemption Program was suspended in 2018 and now its decision to no longer accept bent, partial, fused, or mixed coins at full face value is permanent.

The Nevada State Museum will celebrate the opening of its newest exhibit, Mint to Museum, with a lecture by History Curator Emeritus Robert Nylen. In his talk “The Legacy of the Carson City Mint” on September 26 at 6:30 p.m., Nylen will discuss the mint’s history and impact.

The Pennsylvania Association of Numismatists (PAN) Fall Coin Show will take place October 17–19 at the Monroeville Convention Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania (a Pittsburgh suburb).

The Royal Canadian Mint’s newest Gold Maple Leaf bullion coin contains gold mined entirely from Agnico Eagle’s Detour Lake mine in northern Ontario. The bullion coins can only be purchased through Costco at select stores across Canada, as well as online.
