This week’s headlines include an upcoming U.S. Mint sale, missing Olympic medals, and a well-attended Long Beach Expo.

The U.S. Mint is offering over 30 products in silver, gold, and clad at discounts of up to 30 percent off during its customer appreciation sale on September 19-25. The mint will email customers a link to the sale Thursday morning.

Police in Australia have arrested and charged a man for allegedly stealing four Olympic medals belonging to Australian rower Drew Ginn, one of Australia’s most decorated Olympic athletes. The medals were taken from Ginn’s car and are still missing.

The recent Long Beach Expo, the third of three shows held this year, was the most-attended September show in years. Attendance was 25 percent higher than it was at last year’s September show.
