This week’s headlines include a new grave marker for a legendary U.S. Mint engraver, an upcoming catalog of Edward VIII material, a New York convention, and a French literature commemorative.

The Liberty Seated Collectors Club (LSCC) will have a new grave marker placed at the burial site of U.S. Mint Chief Engraver Christian Gobrecht. The dedication ceremony will take place November 13 at Lawnview Cemetery in Rockledge, Pennsylvania.

Coincraft–Britain’s Coin Shop has hired Dr. Lucia Scigliano and Dr. Aalia Ahmed to catalog the Richard Lobel Collection of Edward VIII material. The mammoth undertaking will culminate in a three- or four-volume set of catalogs and will take about a year to complete.
