Photo: Royal Canadian MintThe Royal Canadian Mint has issued the newest and final addition to its Nutcracker series: a toonie in the shape of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The reverse of the 99.99-fine silver piece features the character wearing a pink dress and with purple fairy wings. Mintage is limited to 2,500.
Photo: Professional Coin Grading ServiceProfessional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) recently graded a rare, obsolete 1862 Bank of Germantown $1 note from Philadelphia. The central vignette features Arctic explorers fighting a polar bear. It is the first such note to be submitted to PCGS Banknote.
