This week’s headlines include Joe Biden commemorative medals, NCBA scholarship recipients, Heritage Auctions member milestone, and redesigned Bangladesh bank notes.

The U.S. Mint is now accepting orders for commemorative medals honoring former President Joe Biden. Available in two sizes—23.8mm ($20) and 76.2mm ($160)—the copper-zinc medals feature Biden’s portrait and signature on the obverse, and a quote on democracy and the White House on the reverse.

The National Coin & Bullion Association (NCBA) has awarded its 2025 Young Numismatists Scholarship, which covers seminar tuition and round-trip airfare, to Zac Ratté and Wes Brush. Ratté and Brush will attend the ANA’s Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs to deepen their knowledge and passion for numismatics.

Heritage Auctions has surpassed 2 million online bidder-members on HA.com, its online platform offering over 50 collectible categories. Steve Ivy, CEO of Heritage Auctions, says the company has “added half a million bidder-members in just a few years, with significant growth in key markets across Europe, Asia and Latin America.”

Bangladesh has released newly designed bank notes featuring natural landscapes and traditional landmarks. The new motifs replace the portrait of ousted prime minister and founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
