This week’s headlines include a gold bar from the Austrian Mint, the Super Bowl coin toss, and an extraordinarily high-relief Canadian coin.

The Austrian Mint is collaborating with Coins N Things Inc. (CNT) on the launch of its first 1 ounce solid gold bar, with CNT as the distributor in North America.

The Highland Mint in Melbourne, Florida, will provide the Super Bowl flip coin for the upcoming Super Bowl 58, following a 31-year tradition.

The Royal Canadian Mint has launched its first-ever Extraordinarily High Relief (EHR) coin. Its 2024 $350 gold and $50 silver Year of the Dragon coins will feature EHR on the obverse and reverse.
