Dr. Peter van Alfen has been appointed chairperson of the U.S. Mint’s Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC), effective January 30, 2024.

 The National Coin & Bullion Association (NCBA) has donated $5,000 to the Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC) in support of its efforts to combat numismatic crime.
