This week’s headlines include a Tudor Beasts addition, a redesigned Kazakhstan 2,000-tenge bank note, and the return of a stolen coin.

The British Royal Mint has released the Greyhound of Richmond coin as the latest issue in its Tudor Beasts series. The obverse features a greyhound sitting down with its paw on top of a shield that shows the three lions of England.

President Donald Trump’s order to halt production of the cent could spur greater interest in coin collecting. Some collectors view the decision as a historic event that could bring more attention to the hobby.

The National Bank of Kazakhstan has revamped the design on its 2,000-tenge bank note. The redesigned note features elements of the nation’s indigenous Saka culture, local wildlife, and modern innovations.

A 200-year-old New South Wales “Holey Dollar” (similar to the one shown) has been returned to Poland. A collector had legally purchased the coin and donated it to a museum in Torun, Poland. It was then stolen and unlawfully exported to Australia before being returned to Poland this year.
