Newman Grant Program
The Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society ( EPNNES) has opened applications for its 2025 Newman Grant Program. Authors, researchers, and numismatic organizations can apply for amounts between $1,000 and $5,000. The award money may go toward photography, reproduction of research material and graphic art services, database access fees, and travel. Electronic publications that receive a grant should use funds for expenses specifically related to numismatic research, rather than the print publication of any research. Those who receive grants agree to have their research published on the Newman Numismatic Portal. EPNNES expects to award approximately 6 grants in 2025.
The Newman Grant Program seeks to provide financial support for numismatists pursuing original research in American numismatics. The program launched in 2019 and supports research projects related to colonial numismatics, U.S. federal coinage, counterfeit detection, and other areas.
