Ice and Fire Commems

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Game of Thrones debut, the Royal Mint has released a commemorative coin collection with two designs featuring the series’ themes of ice and fire.

Ffion Rees created both reverse designs. The first features the Night King, an antagonist who is the master and first of the White Walkers. Beside his profile is the inscription GAME OF THRONES. On the full-color versions, his eyes are blue. The fire design depicts one of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons, with red accents appearing on the full-color versions. The Targaryen family sigil and GAME OF THRONES is at right. Martin Jennings’s effigy of King Charles III is on the obverse of both pieces.
