Like many others, entrepreneur Jon Collins-Black pursued Forrest Fenn’s famous treasure. Its discovery in 2020 inspired Collins-Black to make a treasure hunt of his own, prolonging the thrill of the search for fellow adventurers. He spent the last five years acquiring a diverse collection of desirable objects, then hid them in chests across the United States and wrote a book containing clues to their locations.

Worth millions of dollars, the treasure was “chosen to appeal to a wide range of tastes and interests” and includes “Bitcoin, antiquities, shipwreck bounty, rare Pokémon cards, sports memorabilia, gold, precious metals, and rare gems,” according to Collins-Black. Some of the valuables were created or owned by historical figures like Pablo Picasso, Andrew Carnegie, George Washington, Amelia Earhart, Jackie Onassis, Henry David Thoreau, Louis Comfort Tiffany, and—of course—Forrest Fenn.

The hardcover book There’s Treasure Inside, which offers clues to the locations of the chests, will be released on November 12 and is available for preorder on Amazon for $49.95.
