The world’s best-selling female music group has joined the Royal Mint’s Music Legends series. In coordination with the 30th anniversary of the Spice Girls’ debut album Spice and the release of “Wannabe,” the Royal Mint has produced an official Spice Girls coin. 

The reverse of the collectable £5 coin features the word SPICE prominently in the center, with GIRLS in a smaller font below. The silhouettes of each member of the group (Baby Spice, Posh Spice, Ginger Spice, Scary Spice, and Sporty Spice) surround the legend, and each member’s signature also appears at the bottom. The coin is available in cupro-nickel brilliant-uncirculated (unlimited mintage), silver proof color (5,000), and 2-ounce silver proof (500), as well as ¹/₄-, 1-, and 2-ounce gold proof (mintages of 200, 96, and 30, respectively) versions. Additionally, fans can purchase a brilliant-uncirculated color version with packaging that pictures one of the five Spice Girls (15,000).
