First-Strike Ceremony for WFM Commemorative Coins

Minted Assets, in partnership with the ANA, has announced the release of commemorative coins for the ANA’s 2026 World’s Fair of Money®, scheduled for August 25–29 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Former ANA President and WFM host chairman Thomas Uram joined representatives from Minted Assets for the first-strike ceremony of the new commemoratives at the Osborne Mint. Uram struck the first coin in honor of beloved collector and Benjamin Franklin impersonator Patrick McBride. Minted Assets founder Chang Bullock struck the second piece in recognition of coin designer Joel Iskowitz. Both men passed away earlier this year.

The Coins

The project represents a collaborative effort between the ANA and the Cincinnati mint. Under the terms of the agreement, the ANA grants Minted Assets the right to use the ANA logo exclusively for the creation of commemorative coins. Minted Assets will produce between 1,600 and 1,720 commemorative coins annually in three versions: a base-metal coin with a mintage of 1,250 pieces, a 1 ounce silver proof with a mintage of 500 to 600, and a 1 ounce gold proof with a mintage of 100 to 120. As part of the agreement, Minted Assets will donate 1,250 base metal coins to the ANA.

The first-strike ceremony marks the launch of production for the 2026 issue and reflects a partnership that will help support the ANA’s educational programs, outreach efforts, and mission to serve collectors.
