The latest update to the two-volume set known as the Standard Catalogue of British Coins puts 2,000 years of British coinage at your fingertips. The books bring together the full evolution of Britain’s monetary history in a newly updated and richly illustrated format. The first volume, Coins of England and the United Kingdom, Pre-Decimal Issues, covers coins from the Celtic and Roman periods through successive monarchs, culminating in the final pound sterling coins issued during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. This 616-page edition includes revised sections and newly updated market values, reflecting the latest trends in numismatics.

The second volume turns to the modern era, cataloging all decimal coinage introduced since the United Kingdom’s transition to the decimal system in 1971, with circulation beginning in 1968. The 510-page text provides a detailed and authoritative listing of coins produced by the Royal Mint, covering late Elizabeth II issues and extending into the newly issued coinage of King Charles III. Sets and commemoratives are also included, as well as coins from exclusive Royal Mint series such as the Great Engravers, Queen’s Beasts, and City Views.

Both volumes feature high-quality images and up-to-date pricing information, making them valuable resources for collectors, dealers, and researchers alike. Published by Sovereign Rarities, the references can be purchased from major online booksellers.
