From local coin clubs to national groups, nonprofit numismatic organizations can now apply for financial support through the new CACG Charity Label fundraising initiative launched by CAC Grading CEO and founder John Albanese.

Albanese signed 20,000 specially created CAC Grading encapsulation insert labels that were offered in a private auction to CAC Grading’s authorized modern bulk submission clients. The project marks the first and final time Albanese will sign CAC Grading encapsulation labels. “This is a ‘one-and-done’ signature signing,” he says.

The auction generated a six-figure winning bid, and the proceeds will be donated to nonprofit numismatic organizations and other charities, including food pantries.

Albanese will choose the recipients based on letters of request. “I invite clubs and numismatic groups to write to me personally explaining why they should receive a donation and how the money will be used,” Albanese says. “Please don’t use artificial intelligence (AI) software to write your message. Tell me, in your own words, why and how.”
