The Royal Canadian Mint’s Opulence Collection, a luxurious offering of rare precious-metal coins, blends fine jewelry and numismatic art with its 2025 releases. This year’s collection consists of a 10-ounce platinum coin called “Brilliance” and a 1-ounce gold coin called “Radiance,” each adorned with Canadian fancy-yellow diamonds, among the rarest gemstones in the world, sourced from the Ekati Diamond Mine in the nation’s Northwest Territories.

Designed by Chris Reid and Rosina Li, the platinum coin’s reverse celebrates the Canada lily in a motif accentuated by selective gold plating and an array of 14 pear-cut and 9 round-cut fancy-yellow diamonds. Seven diamonds form the center of the largest lily, which is surrounded by eight additional jeweled and engraved elements that show the flower in various stages of growth. Limited to only 10 examples worldwide, the piece is available for CAD$127,999.95 (US$91,500).

The gold coin, designed by Simon Ng, features a jeweled adornment shaped like a Canada lily on the reverse Its petals are formed by six marquise-cut fancy-yellow diamonds elegantly framing a round-cut white diamond at the center. This jeweled centerpiece rests atop an engraved sunburst inspired by the compass star. Four sun-like flowers, each carrying a round-cut white diamond, are engraved along the edge. Mintage of this CAD$38,999.95 (US$27,960) piece is limited to just 30.

Both coins feature Steven Rosati’s effigy of King Charles III on the obverse and are housed in matte black wood cases made by Canadian manufacturer Manubois. To learn more about these sparkling collectibles, visit the Royal Canadian Mint’s website.
