The United States Mint recently published sales pages for its 2026 proof set and 2026 silver proof set, each containing proof finishes of the nation’s 2026 semiquincentennial coins. The commemoratives feature the dual dates 1776-2026 on the obverse, along with patriotic designs honoring America’s 250th anniversary.

Both iterations of the 2026 proof sets include the 2026 Lincoln cent, which is not being released into circulation and will only be available in various numismatic offerings from the U.S. Mint. The nickel is entering circulation but does not carry any special commemorative motif save for 1776-2026 dual dating, unlike the dime, quarter, and half dollar, which boast one-year-only semiquincentennial designs. Like the 2026 Lincoln cent and Jefferson nickel, the 2026 Native American dollar will not feature semiquincentennial artwork.

The coins in this year’s proof sets will carry “S” mintmarks, signifying their production at the San Francisco Mint. The 2026 silver proof set is listed on the U.S. Mint’s website with an issue price of $245 and a household order limit of 10; the set will be available for purchase on April 14. The clad 2026 proof set is priced at $107 and is scheduled to be released this summer.
