2026 Commemorative American Eagles

The U.S. Mint has unveiled a limited-edition 2026 gold proof American Eagle in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary. Available for one year only, the coin features a refreshed version of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Liberty design with the dual dates 1776-2026. It bears a special Liberty Bell privy mark with the numeral 250. The reverse depicts a detailed portrait of an eagle. 

Struck at West Point in 22-karat gold, the 2026 gold proof American Eagles are available individually in 1-ounce, ¹/₂-ounce, ¹/₄-ounce, and ¹/₁₀-ounce versions, or as a four-coin set. The coins can be purchased starting on March 5 at 12 p.m. EST on the U.S. Mint’s website.
